Traditional Shipibo Ayahuasca Retreat
in the Peruvian Amazon
MASTER PLANT DIETA
Authentic Traditional Shipibo Ayahuasca Retreat in the Peruvian Amazon
At our Traditional Shipibo Ayahuasca Retreat in Peru, we offer authentic ayahuasca ceremonies, Master Plant Dietas, and plant medicine apprenticeships personally guided and prescribed by the respected Shipibo Curandero, Maestro Reshin Nika. Located near Pucallpa in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, our family-run plant medicine center provides an intimate healing environment deeply rooted in the wisdom and traditions of the Shipibo people.
Surrounded by pristine old-growth rainforest, ancient trees, and powerful master plants, our retreat offers a unique setting for healing, self-discovery, spiritual growth, and transformation. Whether you are seeking healing, personal insight, or a deeper connection with traditional Amazonian plant medicine, you are welcome here. We honor each person's unique path and respect the individual needs that arise throughout the healing process.
Owned by Maestro Reshin Nika and operated by his extended family, who live on the land, our retreat remains firmly grounded in authentic Shipibo traditions. An English–Spanish translator is available throughout your stay, and cellular data service is accessible across the retreat center.
We also believe strongly in integration and aftercare. For this reason, we offer support from our dedicated Integration Coach, who is available for guidance during and after your retreat. These sessions help participants process their experiences, ground insights, and integrate the teachings of the medicine into daily life.
Our work is centered on Master Plant Dietas—a profound and disciplined healing practice that extends far beyond ayahuasca ceremonies alone. Through dieta, guests have the opportunity to develop a deeper relationship with the plants, themselves, and the healing traditions of the Amazon.
Ceremonies are intentionally intimate and conducted according to traditional Shipibo practices. They typically include Maestro Reshin Nika, his wife, the translator and facilitator, often his daughters, and only 1–6 guests at a time. This small-group setting allows for highly personalized care, individual attention, and a deeper connection to the healing process.
Maestro Reshin Nika recently spent five years working at The Garden of Peace in Tarapoto, Peru, where his traditional Shipibo healing practices earned the trust and respect of hundreds of guests whom he guided through Master Plant Dietas, ayahuasca ceremonies, and personal healing journeys.
He has now established his own retreat center in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, located approximately one hour northwest of Pucallpa Airport in the Ucayali region. Surrounded by pristine rainforest and powerful medicinal plants, the center offers a traditional setting for deep healing, transformation, and apprenticeship in Amazonian plant medicine.
With more than 35 years of experience, Maestro Reshin Nika was trained within a respected Shipibo lineage by his grandfather, who was considered one of the last Merayas—an exceptionally rare and highly revered level of Amazonian healer. Through this sacred lineage, traditional healing knowledge has been passed down through generations, preserving the wisdom and practices of the Shipibo people.
A Center Rooted in Shipibo Ancestral Traditions
This is not a luxury retreat. It is a traditional Shipibo healing center rooted in ancestral practices that have been passed down through generations. Guests live alongside the Shipibo family, sharing in the rhythms, values, and way of life that support this sacred work. For many visitors, this experience feels very different from a modern Western-style retreat.
Our approach is centered on Master Plant Dietas, a profound healing practice that emphasizes simplicity, solitude, and a direct relationship with the plants. Through time spent in reflection, intentional isolation, and connection with nature, participants are given the opportunity to experience deep healing, spiritual growth, and personal transformation at the root level.
Much of the wisdom transmitted through dieta extends beyond words. The plants themselves become teachers, offering insight, resilience, and guidance through direct experience. While Maestro Reshin Nika remains present and attentive throughout the process, participants are encouraged to cultivate patience, discernment, and trust in the healing journey as it unfolds naturally.
This work asks for humility, respect, and personal responsibility. We invite guests to approach the experience with an open mind and a willingness to honor the traditions, culture, and family that hold this medicine. In doing so, a deeper relationship with the plants and the healing process can emerge.
The more time spent in quiet reflection and connection with the forest, the stronger one's relationship with the plants often becomes—allowing healing, insight, and transformation to unfold in powerful and unexpected ways.
Guided by Maestro Reshin Nika and supported by generations of Shipibo healing knowledge, this retreat offers a rare opportunity to engage with one of the Amazon's most respected traditions in an authentic and deeply personal setting.
Chiric Sanango - A powerful master plant that heals physical pains. With its heat, Chiric removes cold energies from the body, which are the cause of many arthritic and rheumatism pains, and is bone strengthening. She also teaches shamanism if dieted long-term. Explore other master plants offered at our center. Unlike most Shipibo shamans, Maestro Reshin Nika is trained and qualified to work with all of the Amazon’s healing and teaching master plants.
For chronic or long-standing health conditions, we recommend a minimum of three weeks
For conditions that require deeper, more sustained work—or for a tree-based dieta, which carries potent and profound healing and teachings—we recommend a minimum stay of three weeks at our ayahuasca retreat center. A two-week dieta is well suited for most intentions, or as a powerful and restorative reset. We invite you to read our Master Plant Dieta page to gain a clear understanding of how this process unfolds at our center.
—Drinking ayahuasca is not required to experience profound healing
In traditional Amazonian practice,it was the shaman alone who drank ayahuasca, channeling its healing power for others. Much benefit can be received by working only with the master plants through personalized dietas—special herbal preparations made from the local Amazonian jungle master plants tailored to your specific healing path.
These dietas on their own are very powerful. They cleanse and balance the body, mind, and spirit, opening the way for profound growth, deeper healing, and transformation —bringing deep energetic and physical healing. You still can participate fully in ceremony—held in sacred space and guided by Reshin Nika’s powerful icaros.
Long Distance Healing
Can’t make it to Peru? Experience the power of Reshin Nika’s long-distance healing. This transformative practice is the result of a lifetime of devotion. Maestro Reshin Nika’s path has been shaped by decades of communion with master plants, guided by ancestral wisdom and the teachings of his predecessors. Through rigorous discipline, unwavering focus, and deep commitment, he opens the way to healing that transcends the limits of space and time.
For long-distance healing process; he brings your photograph into multiple ceremonies, holding a focused intention for your healing. Throughout the process, we remain in communication and will share any insights or information he receives during the work.
These healings are often deeply profound and genuinely effective. Many people are surprised by how strongly they feel the shifts—physically, energetically, and in the unfolding of their lives.
Here for you.
We look forward
to guiding you
on this spiritual journey.
“I could waffle on for hours about what happened under the utterly magnificent guidance of a true shipibo maestro. So the little I can offer now is quite literally the tip of the iceberg. He is safe, caring and so attuned to the energies of the plants. His lovely family are always close by, lovely family vibes.. the man has changed my life. Eternally grateful to him. It’s natural to feel a little nervous, so don’t think you are alone in that. I have always felt nerves in every ceremony. It’s important to understand that what you are to participate in requires your full attention and respect. If you were not nervous that may be a sign to have another look at it all to sense the gravity of it all. But you are in the safest of hands, make no mistake.. he is the real deal and if at anytime in the future I decide to go back into a deep dive then it will be Reshin Nika I shall look to do that with. Honestly working with Reshin Nika will stay with me forever, the post dieta has brought so much positivity and balance to life. We worked hard, real hard, it was tough but necessary and he knew I needed that. Just so grateful.”
