ABOUT MAESTRO RESHIN NIKA
Maestro Reshin Nika – Shipibo Curandero & Ayahuasca Healer in Peru
Maestro Reshin Nika is a Shipibo curandero and plant medicine practitioner from the Peruvian Amazon with over 35 years of experience in traditional Amazonian healing practices. He comes from a respected Shipibo lineage and began his training at age 15 under the guidance of his grandfather, who was considered one of the last Merayas—the highest level of spiritual healer within the Shipibo tradition.
His work is deeply rooted in long-term Master Plant Dietas and traditional ayahuasca healing practices in the Peruvian Amazon. Through this lineage, he continues to work closely with sacred Amazonian plants for learning, protection, and strengthening, guided by the traditional Shipibo understanding that plants and trees are the true teachers.
Shipibo Lineage & Training
His formation as a curandero follows a traditional Shipibo path of apprenticeship, where knowledge is transmitted through years of discipline, dieta, and direct relationship with the plants. In this tradition, healing is supported through icaros (traditional healing songs) and plant diets, which are considered essential tools for working with physical, emotional, mental, and energetic imbalance.
Experience in Peru and International Work
Maestro Reshin Nika has spent many years working in established plant medicine centers in Peru, including a five-year period at The Garden of Peace in Tarapoto, where he supported hundreds of participants through ayahuasca ceremonies and Master Plant Dietas.
In 2025, he founded his own traditional Shipibo ayahuasca retreat center near Pucallpa, in the Ucayali region of the Peruvian Amazon. He has also shared his healing work internationally, including in Switzerland and Portugal, supporting individuals seeking traditional Amazonian plant medicine experiences.
Healing Approach
His approach combines traditional Shipibo ayahuasca ceremonies with Master Plant Dietas, following ancestral methods passed down through generations. His work is grounded in disciplined ceremonial structure and a close relationship with plant intelligence, focusing on deep healing and long-term transformation.
The Shipibo
The name Shipibo or "Shipibo-Conibo" comes from the merging of two closely related but once distinct indigenous groups: the Shipibo and the Conibo peoples. These two groups gradually merged over time through intermarriage, shared culture, and alliances, and are now generally referred to as a single people.
Philosophy of Healing
Within the Shipibo tradition, the curandero is viewed as a conduit for the intelligence of the plants rather than the source of healing itself. Maestro Reshin Nika continues to deepen his practice through ongoing Master Plant Dietas in the Amazon rainforest, maintaining a lifelong commitment to learning from the plant world.
Reshin Nika’s great grandfather and great grandmother were from a class of healers considered superior: These healers were known as “Meraya”.
From what is known, no Meraya’s exist today. During the time of the Merayas small groups of families lived close to one another in clusters; the communities as they are now did not exist then. As with many indigenous peoples, the Shipibo did not record their history as it was passed down orally; as a result, it is not clear how far back the lineage goes but it is likely to extend hundreds, and probably thousands of years of shamans back in time.
Maestro Reshin Nika has continued to carry on the tradition of curanderismo and adheres to the foundation that was set by his grandfather for delivering the medicine and healing methods passed on to him
He maintains a high degree of reverence for his role in extending his lineage into the future and continues the legacy of his ancestors by holding space with integrity and fidelity. He was given a vision that he was to create a healing center where he would one day help in the healing of humanity, and a place from where he could teach others who were called to embark on this path. This is very much in line with what is transpiring around the world. There is a resurgence occurring, a global awakening, that is leading humanity to rediscover the “ancient ways” and practices for healing.

“In 2017, I healed from Chronic Lyme Disease in just one month through a Master Plant Dieta in the Sacred Valley of Peru—something a Lyme specialist in the U.S. had told me would take five years to heal from. Since then, I’ve returned to Peru often, continuing to work with master plant medicine dieta’s because I’ve personally witnessed their profound healing potential—both in myself and in others.
My experience with Reshin Nika stands out as one of the most transformative and healing chapters of my life. I arrived carrying deep emotional pain and spiritual entanglements from spells a previous Shipibo Maestro put on me. Through a prescribed dieta with Ayahuma & Bobinsana, along with Reshin Nika’s ceremonies & powerful Icaros, I felt those heavy layers lift—cleared with a grace I hadn’t thought possible.
His connection to the medicine is rooted in humility, integrity, and deep reverence. He creates a space of wisdom, love, and true protection, where each ceremony feels deeply sacred and supported. Even after leaving Peru, his presence continued to guide me—his words and energy offering support throughout my integration journey.
Reshin Nika is a true healer, a guardian, and protector of the spirit. I will always be deeply grateful.”
